● Location
Brahmatal is a lake situated in the Himalayas. It is in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. The trek usually begins from Wan village or Lohajung town in the same state.
● Best time to do the trek
Every season except summer and monsoon, is a good one to visit Brahmatal lake. Spring offers opportunities for bird watching while winter would mean that the trail and the destination would be fully snow clad to offer a winter wonderland kind of experience with regular snowfall. It is the only Alpine lake accessible to the public in the winters. Most Alpine lakes are inaccessible and if accessible,are dangerous.
