Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program
SINP is the Provincial Nominee Program of the Saskatchewan province that is based on a system of points. It enhanced a few of its immigration sub-streams and base sub-streams. The objective is to address the economic and labor market needs. The enhanced sub-stream is known as the Express Entry Saskatchewan under the Overseas Skilled Worker Category
Eligibility to apply for the Saskatchewan sub-categories
The Overseas Skilled Worker category is developed particularly for skilled workers seeking to reside and work in the Saskatchewan Province. Fresher candidates can also apply for all the categories excluding the category Saskatchewan Experience.
Meanwhile, candidates with experience can apply for all of the 4 categories for immigration to Saskatchewan.
How does SINP work?
For immigration to Saskatchewan candidates have to first select the immigration category and the sub-category for which they are qualified. The application process for each stream differs due to diverse requirements.
You have to file an EOI – Expression of Interest for a few of the categories during the pre-application process. Based on the details that you offer in the EOI, you will be provided a score. The Saskatchewan Express Entry is an enhanced sub-category that is aligned with the Federal Government’s Express Entry System. It manages the applications for PR Visa and offers CRS scores to the candidates in the pool.
Applicants who get the highest scores are offered ITAs during regularly held selection draws.

Saskatchewan seeking autonomy over provincial immigration
Saskatchewan Province is seeking enhanced autonomy from the Federal Government for managing its immigration programs. The province has many unfilled job openings.
Scott Moe the Premier of Saskatchewan has said that the province does not have a shortage of employment but it has a shortage of workers to fill these job positions. He added that the goal of the province is to make SINP a resource for immigrants who can increase the population of the province to 1.4 million by the year 2030. It is also planned to create 100,000 fresh jobs by 2030 in Saskatchewan.
The chief objective of seeking autonomy for managing immigration in Saskatchewan is to eliminate delays in the processing of Visa applications. The province has several unfilled job positions. Overcoming delays in the immigration process is vital for it. Moreover, the Provincial Government is of the view that an immigration agreement with the Federal Government will be highly beneficial for Saskatchewan.
The Premier of Saskatchewan has said that the province has abundant job openings but does not have workers. He has sought to increase the immigration intake allocation to the Province to 13,000 yearly through a pact with the Government of Canada. The framework of the pact with the Federal Government will be identical to the one it has already entered with Quebec province.
The immigration pact will permit the Saskatchewan Province to decide its unique requirements and priorities related to immigration. The objective is to identify appropriate candidates for immigration to the province for filling the available job openings in the local labor market.
