Forspoken: 10 Best Support Spells, Ranked
You can make fighting easier by using these spells.
Frey has a lot of different kinds of magic at her disposal in Forspoken, but the most important spells are her defense and enhancement spells. Without help, all the other red, green, blue, and purple spells don’t matter. You can’t use them if you’re knocked out on the ground and Breakzombies are towering over you.
Support can do things like heal you when you hit an enemy or trap them in vines or ice. Frey can use these support spells to help her and then chain together more magic attacks to do more damage and make her enemies weaker. These spells cover the four different kinds of magic, but you’ll need a lot of Mana to learn them all.
Inundation
- Prav’s magic
Inundation makes it more likely for Frey to land a critical hit on an enemy, giving you a better chance to do a lot of damage to whoever you use it on. No one really tells you how much better your chances are with Inundation, but it’s still a good idea to keep using it, especially when more enemies are coming at you.
If you have to fight off multiple waves of enemies, Inundation may give you an advantage by letting you kill them faster and more effectively than waiting for your Ultimates to charge up.
Aggression
- Olas’ magic
Many of Olas’ spells are quick attacks that you can use while waiting for other spells to cool down. To get the most out of this power, you should use more than one of Olas’ spells at once and switch between them often. Aggression is great for this because it marks enemies so you can use charged attacks on them later.
Like critical hits, charged attacks do more damage than a normal attack, so you can use this to target a few enemies and kill them.
Displacement
- Olas’ magic
Displacement is a spell that sends Frey’s enemies after a copy of herself instead of the real Frey. If you’re out of options and low on health and things don’t look good, you can use Displacement to get your attackers to move away from you so you can get your bearings again.
After using Displacement, you can use other support spells like Bind to temporarily stop one or two enemies from attacking, and then use an attack spell to kill a few of them.
Charge
- Sila’s magic
A lot of enemies are weak against Sila’s magic, so use her spells whenever you can. Charge for One is a support spell that can be used both offensively and defensively. Frey charges into enemies and drives them back with this spell. It is a great way to separate enemies from each other so you can kill them one by one.
You can also use Charge to run past enemies who are blocking your way or when you just don’t want to fight.
Alb
- Prav’s magic
Attacks you can’t block are always bad, but they’re even worse when they’re the last blow that puts you out of the fight. To make it less likely that this will happen, you can use Alb, a Prav spell that greatly reduces damage when hit by an attack that can’t be blocked or is piercing.
You should first learn as many of the enemy’s move sets as you can so you can use Alb at the right time. If you don’t, you might waste it on a standard attack that is easy to block.
Disperse
- Frey’s magic
Many support spells are one-time events that act as secondary attacks. Disperse, on the other hand, is a continuous process that puts a flower turret on the field that attacks any nearby enemies. The effect doesn’t last very long, but for the short time it does, it will stun your opponents and keep them from following you around.
Rush into the middle of the fight, put this flower in a good place, and then go back to the edges to use spells from a distance. You’ll quickly beat all of your attackers.
Tendril
- Frey’s magic
Tendril is a whip made of ivy that has a medium area of effect and gives Frey health back based on how much damage it does. Because of this, you should use Tendril in a fight where there are a lot of enemies close to Frey. This way, a single attack can hurt enemies and give you back most of your health.
Frey’s magic covers all kinds of fighting styles, so there are always more spells in this set that you can mix and match to chain attacks and make your defense stronger.
Bind
- Frey’s magic
Bind is another earth-based spell that can be upgraded to make the binding last longer. But unlike Tendril, which is great against a lot of enemies, Bind works best when it’s used on just one. You can use this spell to tie your opponent to the ground and then use Burst Shots to lower their health with a barrage of attacks from any of the sets.
If you improve it enough, you can use it to stop enemies in their tracks and kill them before they can hit Frey.
Leach
- Frey’s magic
Frey’s enemies love to poison him, so you’ll need to find a quick way to stop them. Using Leach will heal you of any poison debuffs, just like the many other spells that heal status effects in Slope Game. When you level up Leach to level 2, it will automatically heal you and remove the poison at the same time.
To keep Frey healthy, you will need to use the poison spell more than once during a fight. Make sure you always have enough Mana set aside for these types of spells.
Crucible
- Sila’s magic
Crucible was one of the most important spells shown in the Forspoken Demo, and it’s also one of the most important ones to use in a tough fight. When you use Crucible, it creates a tall wall of fire around you that hurts enemies inside it and makes your attacks stronger.
By putting it down, you’ll have a long time to knock out all the enemies in its range and move on to the next battle without taking as much damage as usual because enemies will be easier to kill. Mana restoration for Crucible takes longer than for most spells, but it’s always a good idea to use it in big groups.
