Step 4: An Online PAN Application form opens on the new page. You can use this as the PAN card correction form. Under the application type, select ‘Changes or Correction in Existing PAN Data’ from the dropdown menu.
Step 5: Select the assessee type from the category dropdown menu. If the PAN is in your name, select ‘Individual’ from the list.
Step 6: Go to the section on ‘Applicant Information. Enter the details related to your name, date of birth, e-mail ID, and mobile number
Step 7: Provide your consent to the application form. Enter the captcha code correctly and click on ‘Submit.’
Step 8: The application request will be registered, and an acknowledgement number will be sent to your e-mail ID
Step 9: For PAN card correction, you can proceed further and submit your documents. There are three options for the same. Click on ‘Submit scanned images through e-Sign or NSDL e-Gov.’
Step 10: Provide all the necessary details related to your father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar card number, etc. Click on ‘Next’
Step 11: A new page opens up where you can update the address
Step 12: Upload the supporting documents like the address proof, age proof, and identity proof
Step 13: Sign the declaration and click ‘Submit’
Step 14: The payment page opens up. You can make the payment using demand draft, net banking, or credit/debit cards.
Step 15: Once the payment is successful. An acknowledgement form is generated. Take a printout of this form and send it to the NSDL e-Gov office along with the physical copies of the documents. Please attach two recent photographs of yours in the space provided and sign across them. Write ‘Application for PAN Change’ and the acknowledgement number on top of the envelope.
